Lending a hand to people in need

Despite having to postpone a lot of our Spring/Summer activities and fun events in order to support our most vulnerable residents, our team are still working hard on behalf of our community.

We are one of several organisations who have mobilised to provide support to the local community as part of the Covid-19 resilience response team. Since the end of March, ACDI team have been volunteering with other organisations such as East Ayrshire Council Vibrant Communities, Auchinleck Community Council and Centrestage to reach and support the most vulnerable in our community. With over 100 food parcels delivered to date, both ACDI & Centrestage will continue to deliver these essential food supplies to those who need it and for as long as they need it. ACDI have also put in place a range of additional support services which have been accessed by dozens of local residents, unable to leave home to buy shopping, collect prescriptions or to top-up power and phone credit. We are also acting as a point of contact for all residents who need advice and signposting to other support agencies. In addition, we are committed to supporting those in financial crisis with one-off payments towards power, food and connectivity.

If you need any of the support listed above, please contact us – our team are ready to help.

This is just one of the many #NeverMoreNeeded stories from organisations across the country which remind government, funders, donors and the general public of how essential the voluntary sector is now and in the future.
