Give your favourite walk a shout-out online!
‘My Wonderful Walk’ is a project for local young people aged 7-25 funded by the Growing Community-based Youth Work’ programme.
At our recent Creative Community Asset Mapping activity, young people told us they value having access to the greenspace around Auchinleck to go for a walk. Walking is a good way to get your daily exercise when done safely, with respect for social distancing. The latest tips for enjoying a socially-distant walk can be found on the Paths for All website.
Participants will plan and create a video using photos and video clips taken during a walk in their favourite local location. Support will be provided by our co-ordinator via video calls.
For young people bored of being stuck indoors, this is a great way to beat boredom and share the wonderful greenspace we have locally via virtual platforms.
Participants will work towards a Hi5 Award, an accredited award administered by Youth Scotland.
